What is Dragonflight?

 

Dragonflight is an alliance wide event where we fend off and fight 4 dragons that officers host inside a Stronghold.  To set up dragonflight, watch the Alliance chat for requests to fill Red and Green dragon locations.

 

Who Goes Where?

Melee goes to Red [If you cut, stab, or bludgeon things to death, then you should be here.]

Ranged goes to Green [If you shoot projectiles, then you should be here.]

NO defender companions at Blue because they will cause early aggro on the dragon. Blue dragon is aggroed on the defender comp, it will obviously 1 shot the comp. Since the blue dragon loses its aggro, it will let out a giant AOE 1 shot attack that can and will potentially wipe everybody at the blue dragon meaning losing time and dps to get the dragon down to 5% in a timely manner.

How is Dragonflight supposed to Run?

Red dragon is at the top left corner of the stronghold which is the (Giants T3 heroic location) and Green dragon is at the bottom right corner of the stronghold (Beholders T3 heroic). Once the dragons land, you will fight the dragons down to around 5% of health then switch to the other 2 dragons called Blue and Black dragon. Avoid death as much as possible at black dragon, every death will spawn a wraith that follows people while dealing AoE damage. Red team will switch to Blue at top right corner of stronghold (Drake attack heroic) and Green team will switch to Black bottom left corner of stronghold (No sympathy T3 heroic). The goal is to get all 4 dragons to 5% health then kill them all within 1 minute of each other for the most rewards.

 

Why should I participate in Dragonflight?

1. Earn dragon fangs to exchange currency for seals of the brave and rough astral diamonds
2. Opportunity to earn rewards for your guild to donate to coffer earning you some guild
marks. The rewards are based on how many dragons are killed. If all 4 dragons are killed, then you will receive a strongbox of Dragonflight, four random vouchers [green or blue], 80 seals of the brave,and 3 dragon fangs. Your dragon fangs max out at 50. You can also use dragon fangs combined with guild marks to purchase specific dragon armor. But, I would recommend exchanging for the seals and rough astral diamonds.
